I bought this necklace and returned it. It is NOT platinum. It has NO resale value. If you search for "Karat platinum" on this site, you'll learn that Karat platinum is 58.5% platinum. The rest is copper and cobalt. It is ILLEGAL for Amazon.com not to disclose this and to say it has other metals:

Pieces with a minimum of 500 parts per thousand Pure Platinum and at least 950 parts per thousand Platinum Group Metals in total, must be marked with the parts per thousand of Pure Platinum, followed by the parts per thousand of each Platinum Group Metal. I bought several of these in various lengths for gift pendants and every one was a winner. The silver is bright and shiny, the link is sturdy but looks just right for a pendant. The ring clasp seems strong and every one worked smoothly. These were shipped superfast and well packaged. I checked prices in my local "big box" store and these are better chains at a lower price even with shipping. I am definitely a happy customer.

My young nieces will love these. I do. I purchased two of these chains because they are shorter than the ones on the pendants I bought for my young nieces. I had no idea that they would be so very beautiful and sturdy, much better than the ones that came with the pendants. They literally glitter. And. . .,the box chains are so strong that I suspect three and five-year olds will be unable to easily break them.
